UPTET Exam Date 2025 – Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test

The Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Board (UPBEB) will soon release the official notification for the Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (UPTET) 2025 for candidates aspiring to become teachers in government schools of Uttar Pradesh.

The exam date for UPTET 2025 has been officially announced as 29th and 30th January 2026. Candidates who wish to appear for the UPTET exam can check the exam notice and important details below.

Age Limit

  • Minimum Age: 18 years
  • Maximum Age: 35 years
  • Age relaxation will be applicable as per rules.

UPTET 2025 – Eligibility

For Classes 1 to 5 (Paper I – Elementary Stage):

  • Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks and appearing in the final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education, or
  • Graduate with at least 50% marks and 1-year B.Ed, or
  • Senior Secondary with 45% marks and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (NCTE norms), or
  • Graduate/Postgraduate with 50% marks and final year of B.Ed, or
  • Senior Secondary with 50% marks and 4-year B.El.Ed, or
  • Graduate with 50% marks and B.Ed from NCTE-recognized institute.

For Classes 6 to 8 (Paper II – Upper Primary Stage):

  • Graduate with at least 50% marks and final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education, or
  • Senior Secondary with 50% marks and 1-year B.Ed (NCTE norms), or
  • Postgraduate with 55% marks and final year of 3-year integrated B.Ed-M.Ed, or
  • Graduate with 50% marks and B.El.Ed (4-year), or
  • Graduate with 50% marks and B.Ed from NCTE-recognized institute.

Note: Candidates qualifying Paper I or Paper II will be considered for appointment as teachers in respective stages.
