The Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (UP TET) is conducted annually by the Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Board (UPBEB) for recruitment of teachers in primary (Class 1–5) and upper primary (Class 6–8) schools. The online application for UPTET 2025 will be released soon, and the exam is scheduled for January 29 & 30, 2026.
UPTET consists of two papers:
- Paper 1: For candidates aspiring to teach Class 1 to 5.
- Paper 2: For candidates aspiring to teach Class 6 to 8.
Candidates who wish to teach both levels must appear in both papers.

UPTET Certificate Validity
- Now lifetime validity for UP TET certificate. Previously it was valid for only 5 years.
- Once qualified, candidates are exempt from retaking the exam.
